Building the future through large, creative, high-integrity architectural sand castings.

A Creative, Flexible Approach With Sand Casting

We use our expertise to approach architectural sand casting challenges with creativity and flexibility, producing durable castings that are often large, niche and highly technical.

Sand casting allows us to create lightweight, complex yet strong metal shapes required in architectural projects such as prestige facades, roof panels and tiles.

Complex Geometries

We can produce large, complex sand castings for architecture. Our facility in Bridgnorth allows us to CNC machine, treat and finish architectural castings as specified in your project.

02
CT Scanning and GOM

Our inspection capabilities include CT scanning and GOM to ensure we meet tight specifications and tolerancing requirements to specification. We know your projects are likely to have short lead times. Our capabilities allow us to produce precision architectural aluminium castings quickly.

03
Manufacturing Confidence

Our processes give repeatability and manufacturing confidence in low and medium volumes needed for architectural castings. Our sand casting expertise and process are flexible, allowing for design changes and optimisation to achieve architectural design while still maintaining function.

Case Studies
Debenhams Department Store

Grainger & Worrall were asked to cast hundreds of unique panels for Debenhams department store in Bury St Edmunds.

The exterior of the building features a sand-cast aluminium cladding system made up of 3,822 diamond-shaped panels with over 380 pattern shapes.

Approximately 50 parent shapes were created and used to produce panel variants. This not only simplified the manufacturing process but also reduced costs.
