Innovative prototypes on an international stage
Grainger & Worrall is set to showcase its latest enabling technologies and innovative developments in cast prototype manufacturing at this year’s Engine Expo Novi exhibition. Taking place in Michigan, North America, between 28-30 October, the leading powertrain technology trade show will bring the world’s leading automotive professionals together to discuss drive efficiency and fuel economy.
Unique in the UK for being the only independent casting business to employ in-house 3D sand printing and CT scanning technology as part of its rapid prototyping process, Grainger & Worrall is internationally renowned for its innovative and pioneering work in the global automotive marketplace.
With the focus of Engine Expo Novi very much on efficiency, vehicle lightweighting and engine downsizing, Grainger & Worrall’s team of experts will be on hand to demonstrate examples of bespoke prototyping solutions in a range of materials produced by rapid-tooled and tool-less digital processes, all developed at its state-of-the-art production facilities.
Edward Grainger, director at Grainger & Worrall, commented: “We are delighted to be exhibiting at Engine Expo Novi. It allows us to build further relationships with our existing customer base, as well as engage potential new customers. Showcasing at the event provides the opportunity to discuss our novel cast prototype manufacturing solutions at a high-profile international event, whilst further raising market awareness in our advanced casting technologies.”
Representatives from Grainger & Worrall’s UK and USA offices will attend to explain how the latest technologies can enable fully-machined cylinder head development in less than six weeks, as well as discuss areas of current R&D activities employed to deliver stronger and more efficient materials and products. Other exhibits will include examples of thin-walled, complex engine blocks and specialist turbo design.
Grainger and Worrall are no strangers to showcasing their outstanding work. Earlier this year, the company hosted a national event in partnership with the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA), which saw high-profile representatives from organisations working within the global motorsport sector visit Grainger & Worrall’s high-performance engineering facilities and learn about how the company develops outstanding solutions and turnkey projects for global OEM brands.
