FLYING INTO THE FUTURE WITH PRECISION SAND CASTINGS

We use our materials knowledge, prototyping innovation and expertise in sand casting for automotive engines to create the powerful, lightweight and high-precision casting solutions required in aviation engineering.

Aluminium sand castings and bespoke alloys allow us to create the lightweight and complex, yet strong metal shapes required for powerful aviation performance. This includes engine components for single and twin-engine aircraft, as well as helicopters.

  • Leveraging the flexibility of the sand casting process, we create complex geometries in a single shape and in a range of alloys for a variety of aviation applications.

  • Advanced metal casting technologies, such as large-scale 3D additive sand printing, are a core focus, accelerating manufacturing and supporting demanding aerospace production timelines.

  • We develop unique alloy chemistries, which support lightweighting efforts to reduce fuel consumption and aerodynamic drag, as well as other key material properties demanded for aerospace.

  • Magma simulation software allows us to prototype properties prior to production, reducing unnecessary weight and overengineering.

  • We use our automotive and motorsport ICE engine expertise to cast precise, high-integrity, highly technical aviation engine components.

  • This includes utilising bespoke alloys (High-performance Aluminium alloys) and lightweighting through design and process optimisation for increased fuel efficiencies across aviation components.

  • Our inspection capabilities include CT scanning and GOM measurement to ensure we meet the tight specifications and accreditation demanded by the aviation sector.
